Otsego County has 23 Public Schools enrolling 8,970 students ranging from PK-12.  A rural county in nature, Otsego schools feature small class sizes, with about 14 students per teacher. This fact explains why all of the schools in Otsego County have a wonderful and safe community feeling that makes for success and pride among the residents.

The presence of Hartwick College and The State University of New York has created a strong pool of highly educated, forward thinking, young millennials, eager to enter the workforce. Which has provided a unique workforce of 3,250-4,250 strong that business are able to tap into in the forms of interns. Easily accessible and highly promoted by both institutions through professors, staff, and programs helps students connect to business that offer real experience in a magnitude of different fields of study, such as economics, management, marketing, sustainability, geology. The experimental education promoted at these institutions through a liberal arts systems have created a diverse pool of intellectual capital in which businesses can highly benefit from.

Hartwick College: Private, four-year, liberal arts and sciences college located in Oneonta, NY.
Hartwick highly pursues the concept of experimental learning through encouraging both domestic and international; off-campus programs, internships at respectable firms, and independent research studies.
