Through out the entire Otsego County art can be watched, heard, sold, and practiced. It is an integral part of our communities. Some of the largest attractions are the world-famous Baseball Hall of Fame in glorious Cooperstown, the Glimmerglass Festival and the Fenimore Art Museum. Although, there are many other smaller wonders that bring life, creativity, and a sense of belonging to our communities.

The Glimmerglass Festival is a world-renowned venue for opera and musical theatre along the beautiful shores of Lake Otsego, drawing artists from across the county for summer-season productions that are covered by the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.
The Foothills Performing Arts Center is another draw, bringing performers of all types and hosting viewings of the Metropolitan Opera
The Franklin Stage Company is a gem located in the southern part of the region and showcases classic and original theatre with excellent actors in an historic building at no charge!

In Cooperstown, the New York State Historical Association regularly produces plays -- most recently, a troupe of actors performed The Crucible at the amphitheatre behind the Fenimore Museum most summer evenings in 2016.

For fantastic music in a hip setting, you can't beat Oneonta's B-Side Ballroom

And just up the street is the historic Oneonta Theatre, a bigger venue for bigger acts; the Foothills Performing Arts Center offers a variety of musical and theatrical offerings, and the Catskill Symphony Orchestra makes its home at SUNY Oneonta
