We even have a glass manufacturing company that is moving from China to Brookhaven. WHTB Glass, which bills itself as the largest fabricator of architectural glass in China, plans to open its first U.S. operation in the Shirley Industrial Park, adding that the location's convenience to New York City via the Long Island Expressway was an added attraction. Did You Know?

  • English settlers arrived on the Town of Brookhaven's North Shore in 1655. They purchased eight (8) square miles stretching from Stony Brook to Port Jefferson in exchange for tools, wampum, lead,
  • powder and one (1) pair of children's stockings. The first settlement was named after the native Americans it was purchased from; Setauket.
